Chinese shooters top medals tally in Shooting World Cup in Beijing

The week-long International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) World Cup event came to an end in the Chinese capital of Beijing with the host nation finishing at the top of the final medals' table.
The Rifle/Pistol World Cup saw the Chinese shooters coming on top with an overall tournament tally of five medals, comprised of two golds, two silvers and one bronze. However, they came one gold medal short of the Indian tally. The shooters from the neighboring country managed to win three gold medals and a silver to cap of a decent campaign, finishing second in the overall medals' tally.
Earlier, the 2018 World champion from the People's Republic of China, Lin Junmin, finished ahead of the Silver medalist of the 2014 World Championships Oliver Geis, and silver medalist of the 2016 Olympic Games Jean Quiquampoix.
Another ace Chinese shooter, Hui Zicheng won the Men's 10m Air Rifle final at the Beijing Shooting Range. It was the first World Cup Gold medal for Hui in the Air Rifle competition; he scored 627.5 points in qualification and 249.4 points in the final.
The youngest participant of the event, India's Divyansh Singh Panwar, scored 629.2 points in qualification and 249.0 points in the final and won his second Silver medal of this World Cup competition.
The Air Pistol Mixed final was shot under the new format, as was the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team, in which China's Jiang Ranxin and Pang Wei were beaten by the Indian pair of Manu Bhaker and Saurabh Chaudhary overall.
Another new format event was the 10m Air Rifle mixed event which had the Chinese pair of Liu Ruxuan and Yang Haoran losing narrowly against the Indian pair of Anjum Moudgil and Divyaansh Singh Panwar in the Gold medal match.
In the men's 50m Rifle 3 Positions, China's Zhao Zhonghao won Bronze after finishing behind Filip Nepejchal from the Czech Republic and the Russian Federation's Sergey Kamenskiy, who won the gold and silver respectively.
