It’s been five years since South Africa last hosted a BRICS summit.
Johannesburg, the country’s most populous city, will welcome leaders, including Chinese President Xi Jinping, from the bloc's five countries - Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa - for the 10th BRICS Summit on July 25-27.
CGTN's reporting team – reporter Wu Guoxiu, cameraman Wang Jigang and multimedia editor Helen Dang – have journeyed from Beijing headquarters to Johannesburg. They will spend nearly two weeks traveling around the country to reveal the real South Africa, discover examples of China-South Africa cooperation, and take you behind the scenes at the summit.
