Chinese Super League outfit Beijing Guoan are ready to test AC Milan's resolve by attempting to lure their star midfielder Franck Kessie away from Italy in a stunning deal.
The capital giants are prepared to make Kessie one of the highest-paid player in the CSL by offering him a wage packet worth in excess of $11.4m a year, according to Italian media outlet CalcioMercato.

The 21-year-old Cote d'Ivoire international has shone during his time at the San Siro, having joined Milan last summer from Atalanta on a two-year loan with an obligation to buy in June 2019.
As one of the most in-form players in Serie A, Kessie started all but one of Milan's league games last term, notching five goals and three assists. He is well on course to obliterate that tally of five this time around with two to his name already, along with one assist, despite only seven games into the new season.
PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi is also reportedly keen to explore their chances of making a big-money move to secure Kessie from AC Milan. /VCG Photo

It is reported that French champions Paris Saint-Germain are also monitoring Kessie's situation at Milan and are ready to battle Guoan for his signature if an opportunity arises.
However, Sky Italy revealed that Milan will resist any moves as they see Kessie as a huge asset. The young talent will need to have his head turned, as he is keen on furthering his development under current boss Gennaro Gattuso.
Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers submitted a bid for Kessie this summer, but both Milan and the player rejected the transfer.
