The Chinese PLA Navy is composed of five branches: the Submarine Force, the Surface Force, the Coastal Defense Force, the Marine Corps and the Naval Air Force.
The Naval Air Force has similar aircraft to the PLA Air Force, including fighter aircraft, bombers, strike aircraft, reconnaissance aircraft, with supporting aircraft such as electronic warfare aircraft, maritime patrol aircraft, transport aircraft, and helicopters of various roles.
