China's women's national soccer team is gearing up for the last stage of their preparation ahead of the World Cup which begins in France in June.
Having finished training in Suzhou on April 30, the players had two days rest before arriving in Beijing. 29-year-old Tianjin Huisen midfielder Han Peng is back in the squad having taken part in the squad which was knocked out by defending champions the U.S. in the last eight at the last tournament and she's excited to be involved again. Meanwhile manager Jia Xiuquan is just focused on their opponents in Group B: Germany, Spain and South Africa.
Han said: "I feel very happy and excited. I want to thank the coaching staff for trusting me. I am very lucky to be able to come back at such a critical time. After returning, my desire is stronger than ever, and that means I will cherish this opportunity even more."
At the end of training, their manager Jia Xiuquan expressed: "The current training sessions are focusing on repeating the techniques and tactics that we've already learned, as well as refining and stabilizing our skills. We also want the players to learn more about our three Group Stage opponents, and improve our ability to control games."
