U.S. President Donald Trump said he expects great progress from his second summit with Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK)'s top leader Kim Jong-un in a phone call with South Korean President Moon Jae-in, Yonhap reported on Tuesday.

Moon said that his country is ready to resume inter-Korean cooperation if it will help the process of denuclearizing the DPRK.

After their first summit last year, the much-anticipated second Trump-Kim summit will be held on February 27 and 28 in the Vietnamese capital, Hanoi.

Kim Hyok-chol, the DPRK's special representative for U.S. affairs of the State Affairs Commission, is expected to visit the Vietnamese capital and meet with his American counterpart, Stephen Biegun.

The details of the second summit will be discussed.

Earlier on February 16, a delegation from the DPRK arrived in Hanoi and discussed protocol preparations for the summit with their American counterparts.

Meanwhile, the United States has blocked efforts by a U.N. agency to improve civil aviation in the DPRK at a time when Pyongyang is trying to reopen part of its airspace to foreign flights, Reuters reported on Tuesday.
