The closing ceremony of the World Rope Skipping Championships was held at the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics on Tuesday.
The 12th edition of this event marked the first time it took place in the Chinese mainland. More than 700 athletes took part and seven records were set.
A friendly competition between rope skippers and judges, as well as a World Cup team show, preceded the ceremony.

Belgium won top honors in the team show, followed by Hongkong, China and Australia. This year's World Championships included a masters competition, a team event and individual triple-unders.
Participants from the Chinese Mainland broke a total of seven world records in various events, including Cen Xiaolin who shattered his own marks in both the 30-second speed and 3-minute endurance contests.
Zhang Chongyang won the men's junior masters title to become the fourth mainlander to earn the honor.

The executive director of the International Rope Skipping Federation, Ronald Kappert, said he was happy the event went well and expressed his pleasure with the sport's development in China.
“I’m enjoying it. As hosts, the feeling when coming here is that everybody here is working together as one big group,” he said.
