An eight-year-old elephant spent the night in a 10-meter-deep well in Dhenkanal district, eastern India's Odisha state, after falling into it accidentally. It was released after an eight-hour-long rescue operation. According to the Zoological Society of London, frequent elephant trapping accidents occur due to human settlements which have encroached elephant corridors.
