Chinese golfer Li Haotong began the final round of the European Tour's Turkish Airlines Open with a three shot lead on Sunday, but Justin Rose knew that a come from behind victory would move him back to world number one and the Olympic gold medalist put on a dazzling display to push it to a playoff.
After Rose surged in front, Li launched his approach at 15 onto the green, where it took a friendly roll to set him up for an eagle, which the Chinese would then convert to reclaim a piece of the top spot.
On the 18-hole, Rose's par putt burned the lip of the cup, sending the 38-year-old and Li into an extra session.

They replay 18, where the Hunan native's par putt rolls wide right, and that hands Rose his second win of the year. The victory ensures that the former US Open champion will return to the top of the world rankings for the second time. Now he'll try to extend his reign as the Race To Dubai's final series continues, with its middle leg in South Africa this weekend.
Rose and Li both finished the fourth round at 17 under par, before the Englishman claimed the playoff to win this event for the second straight season. China's Wu Ashun ended up 13 shots back at minus four.
