Tropical storm Pakhar has landed in the city of Taishan in south China's Guangdong Province. Pakhar arrived just four days after one of the strongest typhoons on record, Hato, caused serious flooding and damage in the same area. Pakhar is less powerful than Hato, but it will also pose a major setback for clean-up and power restoration in China's Guangdong Province. Later, Pakhar will move toward the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and is expected to weaken.
