The Republic of Korea (ROK) and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) agreed to hold military talks on June 14, Yonhap reported on Friday.
The report also added that the two countries will hold a Red Cross meeting for the reunion of separated families on June 22 and will open a liaison office as soon as possible.
The agreements were made during high-level talks held at the border truce village of Panmunjom to discuss steps to implement agreements reached during a April 27 summit between ROK President Moon Jae-in and DPRK leader Kim Jong Un.

The two sides also agreed to open a liaison office in the DPRK's border town of Kaesong at an early date.
To arrange joint events to celebrate the anniversary of their first-ever summit held on June 15, 2000, both countries promised to keep holding discussions through the exchanges of documents.
The two countries also agreed to hold talks on June 18 to discuss sports cooperation ahead of the upcoming Asian Games.

They pledged to have further discussion on a possible reconnection of railways and roads, cooperation in the forestry area and a decision on the date for working-level talks to prepare for performances planned by the DPRK's art troupe in the ROK this fall.
But the two did not set the date for their next round of high-level talks, saying that the schedule will be determined in consideration of other working-level discussions.
For today's talks, the five-member ROK delegation was headed by Unification Minister Cho Myoung-gyon.

Ri Son Gwon, chairman of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland, led the DPRK delegation.
The series of inter-Korean talks on military, humanitarian and sports issues come amid rising expectation for the first-ever DPRK-US summit to be held on June 12 in Singapore as scheduled.
