Firefighters rescued 182 trapped residents from rising floodwater in Wenchang City, south China's Hainan Province, as Typhoon Bebinca dumped heavy rains across the area. Rains lashed parts of the city on Wednesday afternoon, causing rivers to swell and trapping many villagers. The local fire department dispatched 24 firefighters, four fire engines, three rubber boats and a kayak to rescue the trapped villagers.
