As the countdown begins for the upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup, Brazilian star Neymar is well on course to be fit for the quadrennial event in Russia.
With just over a month to go until the mega event, Neymar’s club, Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that he will resume training with the ball soon. He has been racing against time to recuperate before the World Cup after sustaining a broken metatarsal in late February, and undergoing a subsequent surgery.
Brazil will play their Group E opening game against Switzerland on June 17 and Neymar is expected to be back in action before that as there hasn’t been any complication during his rehabilitation period so far.

PSG released a medical update on the recovery process of the 26-year-old saying:“The examinations carried out today showed a quite satisfactory consolidation of the lesion of the fifth right metatarsal."
“Tomorrow, Neymar will begin his physical preparation with the ball on the ground of the Ooredoo Training Centre.”
Meanwhile, Neymar’s future at Paris Saint-Germain has seemed in doubt for some time as the grapevine is abuzz with his possible departure to Spanish giants Real Madrid. Despite a post on social media on Saturday showing him in next season’s PSG kit, speculations are rife over his return to the Parc des Princes in the next season.
A section of the Spanish media have reported that Neymar already told his PSG teammates that he won’t return to the Ligue 1 club after the World Cup in Russia.
