Wuhan Zall hosted Henan Jianye 0-0 in a postponed Chinese Super League match on Saturday. The game had been scheduled for April 6 but was delayed due to the condition of the grass at the Dongxihu Sports Centre.
Wuhan were seeking a third straight win that could see them climb to sixth in the standings. But it was Henan who sort of threatened first.
Frank Ohandza shot from outside the area, but the keeper collected it. Both sides were goalless at halftime. The match was scrappy most of the night.
In the 83rd minute, Ohandza dribbled on the left flank and cut into the area. But the Cameroonian striker failed to deliver a cross.
The only point of contention came one minute later. Wuhan striker Leo Baptistao called for a penalty. But his appeal was checked and dismissed by the referee.
The match ended scoreless with Wuhan and Henan sharing the spoils.
