The Chinese embassy in Canada has urged the Canadian authorities to release Meng Wanzhou, chief financial officer of Chinese tech giant Huawei, who was detained in Vancouver on Saturday for extradition to the United States. The embassy said Meng committed no crime, and that the arrest is a violation of her human rights. China has urged both Canada and the U.S. to "immediately correct the wrongdoing."
