The fourth day of the Asian Wrestling Championships in Xi'an, northwest China's Shaanxi Province, saw Chinese women adding two more individual gold medals to the host country's total tally of four gold medals on Friday.
The double gold on Friday helped China tie with Japan.
In the women's 57kg division, China's Rong Ningning took on the DPRK's Jong Myong Suk for the title bout. Jong had earlier beaten four-time Olympic champion and Japanese wrestling legend Icho Kaori to sail into the final.
Jong was leading 2-0 until the last four seconds when Rong grabbed a takedown and completed a 4-2 comeback that eventually gave the 22-year-old the Asian title. The Chinese grappler's emphatic win instantly threw the home crowds into a frenzy.
Later, in the women's 65kg final, China bagged its second gold medal of the day when Luo Xiaojuan successfully defended her title by overpowering Japan's Ruike Naomi 3-0.
