The official nomination that Thierry Henry will take over AS Monaco's coach position won't be a question anymore according to L'Equipe, as the 1998 World Cup winner agreed to sign a three-year contract with the principality's club.
Henry, current second assistant coach of the Belgium national football team, working alongside head coach Roberto Martinez and fellow assistant Graeme Jones, "will quit the Belgium side on Sunday to join the Monaco side," L'Equipe reported.

Monaco officially announced the departure of Portuguese coach Leonardo Jardim on Thursday after ten consecutive defeats since August 11.
The club considered Thierry Henry, River Plate's coach Marcelo Gallardo and the unemployed Antonio Conte as the candidates for the vacant position.
Finally, Henry was selected and he will go back to the place soon, where his professional football career took off in 1994. He has refused to coach another Ligue 1 team Bordeaux at the end of August.
During the five seasons in Monaco, he scored 20 league goals in 105 appearances and helped the club win the title of Ligue 1 in season 1996-97.

Henry seems to be following Didier Deschamps' pace, as his former national team's companion and the current France national team's manager launched his first step of coaching career in 2001-2005 at Monaco.
Monaco has won just one match against Nante in the first round of Ligue 1 this season, and they will visit Strasbourg on October 20.
