Sun Yingsha and Wang Chuqin's sensational run at the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games fetched them another gold medal on Monday as the pair came out on top to clinch the mixed teams event title in a thrilling final.
The Chinese duo, who grabbed the women's & men's singles gold respectively last week, dispatched the Japanese pair of Miyu Hirano and Tomokazu Harimoto 3-1 to once again prove China's status as the table tennis powerhouse.

The momentum of the final seem tilted in favor of China as Sun Yingsha overcame Miyu Hirano 11-4, 7-11, 7-11, 15-13, 11-1 to make an early statement in the crucial face-off.
However, Team Japan obviously did not go down without a fight as the 15-year-old rising star Tomokazu Harimoto polished his credentials with a hard-earned win over Wang Chuqin in four sets, 11-9, 7-11, 10-12, 3-11.

In the final set of the mixed doubles, Sun Yingsha/Wang Chuqin put in a solid performance, sweeping aside Miyu Hirano/Tomokazu Harimo 11-8, 11-6, 12-14, 11-5 to seal the final triumph.
