Hundreds of people who benefited from the Ankang Home project after the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake have reunited with their Ankang “fathers” and “mothers” this week in Chengdu in southwest China’s Sichuan Province. The Ankang Home project was founded by the All-China Women’s Federation and the China Children and Teenagers Fund to receive children who were homeless or lived in extreme poverty because of the earthquake.
