English artist turns iconic painting faces into monkey

2 / 4   Susan Clyne is the Norwich artist behind the canvas for the makeover. Why with monkey faces? Clyne said it's to express her love for the Gothic Victorian era and the primates. She has painted 11 monkey pieces so far, but over 200 pieces of art altogether. /VCG Photo

3 / 4   After visiting a monkey rescue center, the artist was struck by how the animal observes everything. "It's quite unnerving, knowing they were thinking something and looking," Clyne told the London Economic. “I think primates adapt so well, when you look in a chimpanzee's eyes you can see their soul," she added. /VCG Photo
