The China Chamber of Commerce to the EU shall be a flagship organization beefing up China-EU trade and investment ties, according to Chinese Premier Li Keqiang at the unveiling ceremony of the Chinese business group at Brussels, Belgium on Monday.
That same day, the Premier arrived in Brussels for meetings with European Union leaders, kicking off his first overseas trip in 2019.
Li hopes the organization is to well serve Chinese enterprises investing and starting their business in the EU, as a way to spur trade and investment between the two sides.

"The China Chamber of Commerce to the EU should listen attentively to both Chinese and European companies, as well as the voices from its counterpart, the European Union Chamber of Commerce," said Li. "The newly established group should act as a bridge linking both parties."
The chamber of commerce should also establish a good image of Chinese enterprises when participating in the new wave of international competition, according to Li.
Li is on his Europe tour from April 8 to 12 to attend the 21st China-EU leaders' meeting, the eighth leaders' meeting of China and Central and Eastern Countries (CEEC) in Croatia and pay an official visit to the country.
