Intense heat, floods and typhoons. Much of Japan has already had to cope with some kind of weather-related crisis this summer. In July, over 300 people were killed in floods, landslides and record-breaking high temperatures. Last month, the country's annual typhoon season injured at least 30 people. It also left nearly 100,000 households without power and about 300 flights grounded.
