The China-Africa friendship is unbreakable and deliberate attempts to discredit China-Africa cooperation have been actively opposed by African governments and its people, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Friday.
Wang made the remarks at a press conference in Beijing on the sidelines of the second session of the 13th National People's Congress (NPC).
Wang said, China-Africa cooperation is becoming more and more successful, which has also attracted criticism.
However, China and Africa have a high level of trust, the friendship between China and Africa has been tested, and the achievements in China-Africa cooperation have spread all over the African continent, he emphasized.
He also added that many African leaders and people have actively stood out to refute the so-called "debt trap theory" and "new colonialism" and other accusations. This fully demonstrates that there is no market for any untruth in Africa.
The China-Africa friendship has a long history and both sides have always been good brothers, Wang noted, adding, at present, China's relations with Africa are at its best in history.
Mutually beneficial cooperation continues to be at the forefront of international cooperation with Africa, he stressed.

The Chinese foreign minister also said China-Africa cooperation has always been open and Africa's development also needs more input from the international community.
China is willing to play a role in encouraging more countries to pay attention to Africa, attach importance to Africa, invest in Africa and form joint efforts to work for peace and development in Africa, he added.
