Former senior provincial official expelled from Party, office

Zeng Zhiquan, former member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Guangdong Provincial Committee and head of the provincial United Front Work Department has been expelled from office and the CPC for "serious violations of disciplines and laws", according to the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and China's National Supervision Commission website.
According to the investigation, Zeng has committed serious discipline offenses and is suspected of the crime of accepting bribes.
His illegal gains have been confiscated and the case was transferred to judicial organs.
