Nansha Wetland Park, located at the mouth of the Pearl River in Guangzhou, provincial capital of China's southern Guangdong Province, has been chosen as one of the 10 best destinations to watch birds in the province, according to the provincial forestry department.

More than 100,000 migratory birds have arrived in the park since the beginning of December, making it a must-visit scenic spot to watch wild birds in the southern province during winter.

The migratory birds in Nansha Wetland Park include the rare species of white spoonbills, black-winged long-legged snipes and the black-face spoonbills that have become an endangered species in the world.

With the improvement of the local environment, the 666.67-hectare park has now become an ideal destination for myriad of migratory birds from north to spend winter days, the department said.
