Holders Real Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo's Juventus were among seven teams to reach the last 16 of the Champions League on Tuesday.
Also through are Ajax, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Roma and Manchester United.
Real's win, thanks to second-half goals from Gareth Bale and Lucas Vazquez, secured first place in Group G, and ended Roma's eight-match unbeaten home run in Europe with a 2-0 victory.
Like Real, Roma had already clinched a place in the knockout stages with one game to spare thanks to Viktoria Plzen's 2-1 win at CSKA Moscow in the early kick-off, which leaves Eusebio di Francesco's side five points clear of third place.
Mario Mandzukic scored the only goal as Juventus eased into the knockout stages with a 1-0 win over Valencia in their Group H clash. Cristiano Ronaldo provided the assist that allowed the Croatian to tap in just before the hour mark in Turin.

The win for the Italian champions, who only needed a point to ensure qualification, combined with Manchester United snatching a late and controversial 1-0 win over Swiss Young Boys at Old Trafford means Valencia crash out of the competition.
United's Belgian Marouane Fellaini turned to shoot home in the 91st minute, despite the ball appearing to come off his hand as he swiveled to strike it.
"For me it was not a handball," he told BT Sport. "If it touched my hand, it was not on purpose."
At the same time, Manchester City progressed to the knockout stages from Group F after twice coming from behind to draw 2-2 with Olympique Lyonnais, a team Pep Guardiola hailed as one of the toughest he has ever faced.
Bayern Munich thumped Benfica 5-1 to book their place and ease the pressure on coach Niko Kovac.
"It's a convincing win and that's exactly what we needed at the moment," Arjen Robben said after he netted twice.

Meanwhile, former European champions Ajax won 2-0 against AEK Athens to reach last 16 for the first time since 2005-06.
Greek riot police wielding batons entered the stands at the Athens Olympic Stadium to separate fighting fans, leaving 11 Ajax supporters injured, police said. Some Dutch fans were left with blood streaming down their faces.
