The football coach of the 12 Thai boys who have been trapped in a Thai cave for two weeks has given his "apologies to the parents" in a scrawled note released by the Thai Navy on their Facebook page on Saturday.
"To all the parents, all the kids are still fine. I promise to take the very best care of the kids. Thank you for all the moral support and I apologize to the parents,” 25-year-old Ekkapol Chantawong said in the letter, which was given to a diver on Friday.

"To my grandma and aunt, I'm here. Don't be too worried. Please take care," he added.
The members of the Wild Boars football team were exploring the Tham Luang Nang Non cave when rain flooded its compartments trapping them inside. The boys and their coach were located earlier this week, but must now learn how to dive in order to navigate the waterlogged passageways if they want to make it out before monsoon season.
