An explosion at a rally attended by Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa on Saturday left 49 people injured and the number is expected to rise, said Zimbabwean police.
"We expect the number to rise as some victims might come forward during the course of the day," national police spokeswoman Charity Charamba said.

Mnangagwa was unhurt in the explosion, which rocked a stadium where he was set to address supporters.
Charamba said that an investigation is underway and that there have been “multiple attempts” on Mnangagwa’s life over the years.
