The Chinese Basketball Association has announced its 15-man squad list with two FIBA World Cup qualifiers coming up at the end of February.
Zhou Qi and Abdusalam Abdurixit will lead the team coached by Li Nan, who said more young players could get chances because as the host country, China automatically qualifies for the tournament.
The 15 players are Zhou Qi, Abdusalam, Zhai Xiaochuan, Fang Shuo, Wu Qian, Liu Zhixuan, Zhao Rui, Ren Junfei, Hu Jinqiu, Sun Minghui, Yu Dehao, Shen Zijie, Chen Linjian, Fu Hao, and Guo Haowen. Notable absences include Yi Jianlian, Zhou Peng, Guo Ailun, and Wang Zhelin.
The 15-man squad will train and play from February 16th to the 25th.
The two qualification games are on the 23rd and 24th this month. The PRC will first visit Jordan, and then meet Syria in nearby Lebanon.
