In South Korea, firefighters and forestry officials brought a huge fire under control. The fire burnt about 20 hectares of forest, forcing the evacuation of nearly 300 residents from the area. The fire department and forestry authorities have dispatched some 20 helicopters and 1,600 personnel in an effort to extinguish the fire. No casualties were reported till today.
