Torrential rain and hail batter northeast China’s Liaoning Province. The storms were so severe that the provincial weather department issued an orange warning for hail and both orange and yellow warnings for torrential rainfall. China has a four-tiered color rating system for severe weather conditions, ranging from red, the most intense, to orange, yellow and finally blue.
