Family members from the DPRK and the ROK met for the first time in decades, after being separated during the 1950-1953 Korean War. The rare reunions of relatives on both sides of the border are taking place at Mount Kumgang in the DPRK as of Monday for six days during which some 200 people have a long overdue chance to hug their loved ones. /VCG Photo
The first batch of reunions ended on Wednesday, and bidding farewell was a hard moment, with many shedding tears as they waved goodbye to the buses shuttling relatives to the south of the border. /VCG Photo
The meet-ups are part of an agreement reached by DPRK leader Kim Jong Un and ROK President Moon Jae-in during their historic summit this April. /VCG Photo
