Work on the world's longest steel-box beam suspension aqueduct bridge is almost complete in Dongguan City, south China’s Guangdong Province. It has a main span of 1,688 meters, and 176 steel boxes have been used in the construction. The bridge is designed to have eight lanes in both directions. Some 100,000 vehicles are expected to cross the colossal structure daily at speeds of up to 100 km/h, once it is put into service in the first half of 2019.
