Former Chinese vice finance minister expelled from Party, office

Zhang Shaochun, former Chinese vice finance minister, has been expelled from the Communist Party of China (CPC) and removed from public office for serious violations of party discipline and law, the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) announced on Thursday.

The probe found that Zhang has committed violations including fraud, according to the CCDI.
