18 injured after Biman plane skids off runway at Myanmar's airport

Some 18 people including five crew members on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight were injured when the plane skidded off the runway at Myanmar's Yangon International Airport and broke into three pieces on Wednesday, according to Myanmar's Department of Civil Aviation.

The Biman Flight No. BG-60, carrying 29 passengers and four crew members, skidded off the runway at around 6:50 p.m. local time (1220 GMT) when it landed in bad weather at the airport.

There were no major injuries. 
The airport reopened after the incident, and an investigation is underway.
