A pickpocket on a train from Xi'an to Changchun tried to cast away suspicion by accusing an imaginary person of stealing a man's phone. The man had fallen asleep when his phone was stolen. During investigation, a woman claimed she saw the thief. She also gave a detailed description of how the thief looked. However, her testimony was fake. Surveillance video showed that she was the one who snatched the handset.
