An Indonesian Lion Air flight crashed on October 29 shortly after taking off from capital Jakarta to Pangkal Pinang. Lion Air flight JT 610 lost contact 13 minutes after takeoff. The plane carried 189 people, including 181 passengers and eight crew members. No survivors have been found so far.
