China rises to 7th in the FIBA Women's basketball rankings

The Chinese women's basketball team improved in the latest world rankings due to their recent series of good results at the Asian Games and the World Cup. China's team jumped three places to move from 10th to 7th in the world ranking after their recent victory at the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games and sixth-place finish at the World Cup campaign.

The United States and Spain continue to retain their first and second position respectively in the FIBA World Ranking Women after the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup.

The top Asian teams are the Australians, who moved into third place ahead of France in the world rankings.
