Some of experts at the event spoke about their thoughts on the challenges and opportunities of attracting more talents to the city.

WANG SHUGUO, PRESIDENT XI'AN JIAOTONG UNIVERSITY I think the most important thing is that we should provide a platform for the development of young talent. We should give more attention to young people who have just started their careers and have the hope to climb the mountain in the future. We should have an open mind to welcome them no matter what their nationalities are, what countries they come from, and understand them, to create a platform for them.

HUANG WEI, PRESIDENT NANJING TECH UNIVERSITY In order to attract more talent to Xi'an, we must provide superior material treatment and better living conditions. We must create a good environment and working conditions. Without a functioning and innovative atmosphere, it is hard to have our scientists reach the top in academia even with very good living conditions.

ZHAO MIN, MEMBER MUNICIPAL PARTY COMMITTEE OF XI'AN One is that we are going to implement a scientist plan, we have 59 academics in Xi'an, we will set up the academics workstation in the city, and I hope more academics will come to Xi'an to work here. In addition, we are going to implement the Hundred Talents Program in the future and select talent from fields of education, technology, health, and culture.
