First aired on China Central Television (CCTV) on Tuesday, the third episode of the political documentary “The Path to Prosperity”, features the new challenges and opportunities faced by the country.

After 40 years of reform and opening up, China has already made a great leap in becoming rich and growing into a stronger nation. Facing a world of dramatic changes, however, the Communist Party of China (CPC) has been exploring answers to the new questions put forward by the times.

In the segments of economy, politics, culture, society and ecological environment, the CPC has adopted and implemented new development concepts, while focusing on the welfare of the Chinese people.

The third episode, “The Great Leap”, depicts the historical achievements made by the CPC as well as the country, since the 18th National Congress of the CPC. It is China and the CPC's responses to the New Era.

The eight-episode political documentary was co-produced by eight organizations, including the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Central Leading Group for Deepening Overall Reform, the Party History and Archives Research Center of the CPC Central Committee, the National Development and Reform Commission, the National Radio and Television Administration, Xinhua News Agency, the China Media Group, and the Political Work Department of China Central Military Commission.
