Zora the robot is a familiar face at a French retirement home, regularly coming to entertain residents whether during a sing-along session or guiding them through some gentle exercises. Its creators say it is designed to complement the work of caregivers, without replacing them. Costing 17,000 U.S. dollars per unit, Zora bots are set to be introduced to a network of 16 retirement homes throughout France in 2019.
