Jinniuling Park Zoo in Haikou City, Hainan Province, began moving 134 animals to their new home, the Hainan Tropical Wildlife Park and Botanical Garden last Thursday. The zoo, which covers an area of 107 mu (around 7.13 hectares), was officially shut down on June 15. In 2017, the zoo was temporary closed by local authorities for negligent management that led to the death of animals.
