Heavy snow hit China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on Saturday. Temperatures dropped by as much as 18 degrees Celsius, and lowered the visibility to less than five meters on three major highways in the Mulei Kazakh Autonomous County, severely disrupting traffic. Local traffic police immediately launched an emergency plan, dispatching six police vehicles and 24 officers to conduct urgent rescue work.
