According to local media, it was commissioned by the city’s government and port authority as an effort to improve the negative views towards ageing industrial facilities. Twenty-two artists worked on the 487,000-U.S.-dollar project, which reflects the seasons and resembles 16 book covers. /VCG Photo
The mural topples the previous record holder by a significant margin: The Pueblo Levee Project in the U.S. state of Colorado spans an area of 16,554 square meters. /VCG Photo
