A centuries-old ice fishing tradition continues to wow the crowds at Chagan Lake, a popular winter resort in NE China's Jilin Province. Winter fishing on the frozen Chagan Lake dates back to the Liao and Jin dynasties (916-1234), and was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage in 2008.
