Former deputy secretary of Jilin Provincial Discipline Commission prosecuted for bribery, corruption

Qiu Daming, former deputy secretary of the Jilin Provincial Discipline Commission, has been prosecuted on charges of bribery and corruption by the Shijiazhuang City People's Procuratorate in north China's Hebei Province, according to a statement by the Supreme People's Procuratorate of People's Republic of China on Tuesday.
Local prosecutors made allegations claiming that Qiu used his position to gain advantages from others and take what is believed to be large bribes while he was in office. 
Qiu, 57, is also the former deputy director of the provincial supervisory committee.
