US-ROK Joint Drill: "Ulchi Freedom Guardian" exercise starts today

To the Korean Peninsula where joint military exercises between the United States and South Korea are set to get underway.
The "Ulchi Freedom Guardian" joint drill will last from August 21st to August 31st. It will involve computer simulations designed to prepare for potential attacks from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Seoul's defense ministry says that the annual drill is a defensive one, with the aim of keeping the country safe.
