The death toll from floods, landslides, and whirlwind in Indonesia's Central Sulawesi province jumped to 68 on Sunday with 47 others sustaining wounds, said Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, the spokesperson for the National Disaster Management Agency.
Torrential rain led a dam to burst its bank on Tuesday and submerged a total of 13 districts in South Sulawesi province.
"January to February is the peak of rainy season in most of Indonesia territory. People are highly advised to anticipate possible flood, landslide, and whirlwind during the period," Sutopo said earlier.
