A trade official in Geneva said several members of the World Trade Organization (WTO), including China, Russia, and Saudi Arabia, on Thursday expressed their concerns about the revised anti-dumping legislation of the European Union (EU), which entered into force in December.
China believes the EU’s new rules against countries dumping cheap goods in its market, however, will harm the WTO’s anti-dumping system.
Russia said the EU rules violated the WTO rule book, and increase uncertainty for exporters, a position that China also shares.
