April 23 marks World Book Day, an annual event designated by UNESCO to promote reading, publishing and copyright. This year, anchors from the China Media Group will take you on a journey through the exquisite works of Shakespeare to explore the beauty of literature and language.
Here is the 13th and the last episode. Lin Shaowen brings the Act 3, Scene 3 from Shakespeare’s famous history play “The Life and Death of King Richard II.” The play, divided into five acts, has its language as formal as its structure. It was written completely in verse, instead of a combination of verse and prose according to the status of the characters.
Lin Shaowen, as a senior anchor of the China Media Group, has won quite a number of awards in the field, including the country’s top award for anchors and hosts, the “Golden Microphone” awards.
